It’s in reaching high, opening up and letting go that we learn about real faith and what it means to truly lay our lives and future into God’s hands.
In taking a leap of faith when staring into the unknown, we understand that although there is a possibility of hitting rock bottom, the only way to truly find God's grace and feel His presence is to jump when He says jump, change when He says change, sing when He says sing and turn your life around as He wills it. The real truth is that when you take that leap of faith into God’s purpose for you, you never crash but will always be sustained, protected and held together by His love for you.
Our life’s journey of ups and downs, highs and lows has led us to where we are today…a secure place in who we are as Christians, as a couple, as musicians, writers, parents and children of God. In the time it’s taken to see our musical dream of Jacob’s Journey and the debut CD of “A Feather in His Hand” come into fruition, we have experienced and endured so much, both personally and as a nation. Though some of these events have been tragic, we are nonetheless thankful that these experiences have brought us so much closer to Him.
“A Feather in His Hand” is a celebration of life; an offering back to God in immense gratitude for every waking breathing moment, and an obedient attempt at truly reflecting and expressing the gifts He has given us back to Him in praise. If there is one sure lesson that He has taught us, it is that we need to make Him our constant companion and that true fulfillment comes from a relationship with Him that will grow deeper and deeper everyday. He has given us so much through the gift of eternal life through Jesus. No worldly reward comes close to measuring up to that. So it is our will to be intentional in using our talents and this CD to acknowledge His so often much more than tangible existence in our lives.
We hope that “A Feather in His Hand” encourages, inspires, uplifts and moves all of you who listen to it into a closer relationship with God. We are so grateful to Him for using us as instruments in delivering these songs to you.
God Bless,
Jacob’s Journey
